ABOUT US

My name is Brent Keith and I've been guiding in Alaska for over 15 years. My family and I live year round in the area we hunt. During the Winter, I run a 100 mile trapline throughout my hunt area which allows me to keep track of game populations, location and movement. We conduct hunts in units 20 and 13 of the Alaska Range and the Talkeetna Mountains along the upper Susitna River drainage.

We offer a wide selection of hunts in this Alaska wilderness area including Dall sheep, Moose and Caribou in the Fall, Grizzly and Toklat bear in both the Spring and Fall, and Wolf hunts in the Winter/Spring. Incidental species that can be taken in the Fall are Wolf and Wolverine. Most of our hunts are conducted by horseback and foot with the exception of the spring grizzly and Winter/Spring wolf hunts.

Castle Rock Outfitters limits the number of clients taken each year to help ensure top quality trophies as well as hunting experience. We are an honest, hard working and dedicated outfit with great hospitality, clean camps, excellent food, experienced Alaskan guides and horses.

All hunts are based on a 1x1 hunt unless other arrangements are requested. We do not seperate average class hunts from trophy hunts, we strive to show all hunters the best game possible. We base out of two camps, one for Dall sheep, caribou, grizzly, wolf and the second for moose, Dall sheep, caribou, grizzly bear, black bear, and wolf.

Both cabins are well maintained, very comfortable and supported by several spike camps. Food is exceptional, plentiful and will be prepared for you by a "self proclaimed" master chef! Species hunted and scouting observations made prior to your arrival will determine which camp you will call home while hunting the The Last Frontier. Our camps are set in the heart of the Alaska Range mountains, the terrain is beautiful yet tough and unforgiving, the better your physical conditioning the more enjoyable your hunt will be.

I'm a member of the Alaska Professional Hunters Association, Safari Club International, Alaska Bowhunters Association, Life member of the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep, Life member of the Alaska Trappers Association, Life member of the NRA and Life member of the North American Hunting Club. My family and I give our full support to these organizations for the ethical hunting practices and game management they endorse.

Please compare my experience, fair-chase policy, comfortable camps and success rates with others. Experience the adventure, trophies and excitement of a true Alaskan hunt.

TRANSPORTATION

Our clients usually fly into Fairbanks and we then transport you, which is included in the hunt price, 120 miles south on the George Parks Hwy to Healy. If you would like a little more scenery you could fly into Anchorage and then take the Alaska Rail Road to Denali National Park where we would pick you up.
